CARING FOR YOUR LITTLE PET PORTRAIT

Little Pet Portraits are hand painted with watercolor and gouache on vegan vellum (a type of paper), sealed and placed beneath colorless quartz, and securely set in a metal bezel. Bezel-set jewelry is not watertight and should never be worn or submerged in water, which could ruin the painting.

Use the microfiber cloth that accompanied your piece to clean the quartz surface. Never use liquid cleansers or jewelry polishing cloths, as they could contain abrasives or chemicals that could permanently ruin your jewelry.

Avoid exposing your jewelry to cosmetics, household cleaners, chemicals or prolonged direct sunlight. Do not wear during strenuous activity or while in or near water. We like to recommend the “last on, first off” rule: Put on your jewelry as the last step after getting dressed, and take it off at the end of the day. Always store your jewelry—with chains clasped—in the pouch and box that accompanied it. With proper care, your Little Pet Portrait should should last a lifetime.
